
DFK Dainava Alytus has announced the signing of seven players who will remain with the team until the end of the 2025 season. Among the signings are last season’s key players, such as Krynskyi, Banevičius, and Baftalovskyi.
Starting with the number one goalkeeper, Volodymyr Krynskyi. The 28-year-old Ukrainian joined Dainava before the 2024 season from the Czech side 1.SK Prostejov. In his first season with the Lithuanian club, he made 29 appearances in the A Lyga, conceding 35 goals and keeping 11 clean sheets.
Airidas Mickevičius, Krynskyi’s backup, will also remain with the team. The 25-year-old goalkeeper has been with Dainava since 2022 and made seven appearances in the highest league last season. Previously, he played for the FK Žalgiris Academy, as well as for FK Stumbras and FK Kauno Žalgiris.
The 26-year-old defender Oskaras Lukošiūnas will begin his ninth consecutive season with DFK Dainava Alytus. Last season, the center-back made 20 appearances in the A Lyga and scored his first career goal in a victory against FK Banga Gargždai.
Ukrainian winger Artem Baftalovskyi will also continue with Dainava through the 2025 season. As one of the team’s leaders, he has been with Alytus since 2022; the winger scored five goals and provided three assists in 32 A Lyga matches last season.
Renatas Banevičius, a 24-year-old native of Dainava, had a breakout season last year. The midfielder became a starter and participated in 34 league matches, scoring three goals and assisting on four.
20-year-old Naglis Pauliušis, a DFK Dainava Alytus academy product, will also stay with the team. In his first full season last year, the young defender made 16 appearances. Although he only played once in the first 17 games of the season, he stepped up in the final 19 matches, starting in 12 of them.
Lastly, 18-year-old left-back Marat Krasikov. While the young man has not yet made his debut for the first team, he played for DFK Dainava Alytus’ second team in the II Liga (3rd tier) last season, scoring seven goals.
