Lithuanian Cup champions FK Banga Gargždai have announced that Pijus Srebalius, Maksim Andrejev, and Matas Ambrazaitis have signed contract extensions with the team.

Pijus Srebalius, a 22-year-old forward, is a product of the FK Banga academy, having progressed through all their youth ranks. He made his A Lyga debut at the age of 18 in 2021.

In the 2022 and 2023 seasons, Pijus was primarily a substitute, starting in 22 matches while coming off the bench 34 times. However, in the last season, his role expanded significantly; he made 29 league appearances, with 22 of those as a starter. During this time, he scored one goal and provided one assist. Pijus played a crucial role in Banga’s Lithuanian Cup victory, scoring three goals over five cup matches. His new contract will run until the end of the 2026 season.

Another player whose contract extends to the end of the 2026 season is midfielder Matas Ambrazaitis. The talented young player made his A Lyga debut in 2023 at the age of 16 and added three more games to his record last season. Matas primarily played for the Banga reserve team in the Pirma Lyga in 2024, where he made 30 appearances and scored one goal.

Finally, Maksim Andrejev has also re-signed with FK Banga Gargždai. The 20-year-old defender joined the Banga system in 2022 and made 29 league appearances last season, scoring two goals and providing one assist. This season, Maksim aims to take on an even bigger role in the Gargždai squad, as from those 29 games, he only was the starter in four.
