FK Panevėžys announced that Federico Palacios and Markas Beneta will not stay with the club for the 2025 A Lyga campaign.
Federico Palacios Martínez and Markas Beneta have been released by FK Panevėžys, the club announced on their social media.
Federico Palacios, a former Germany U-19 international, joined Panevėžys in summer 2023 from Viktoria Köln. Lithuania was the first experience of playing abroad for the attacking midfielder. During his time with Panevėžys, he played 56 official games, scored 3 goals and made 5 assists.
Markas Beneta (31) – a former Lithuania international – also joined the north Lithuania side in the summer of 2023, coming over from FK Sūduva. With 26 caps for Lithuanian senior national team, Beneta played 61 games for Panevėžys, scoring one goal and assisting twice. All in all, the veteran right-back has 287 A Lyga games under his belt.
Both players are currently free agents.
