Nõmme United keep young prospect

Nõmme United, who finished 10th in the Premium Liiga last season and were relegated to Esiliiga, have announced the contract extension of 19-year old striker Egert Õunapuu.

Õunapuu, who was struck with injuries last season, played in 12 games, scoring three goals, two against Paide Linnameeskond and one to FC Flora.

Egert Õunapuu to the club’s press release:

“It feels good to continue my career in Nõmme. I will give my best, to make it back into the Premium Liiga. Hopefully I will stay fit and will be able to offer my best performances for the team.”

Before earning promotion to the top flight, Õunapuu was Esiliiga’s top goal scorer for two consecutive seasons, netting 36 goals in 26 games in 2022, and 32 goals in 24 matches in 2023.
