TransINVEST secure Banga’s goalkeeper, Riteriai Georgian winger departs

FK TransINVEST, who were relegated from the A Lyga last season, has announced that they have signed goalkeeper Kornelijus Smilingis to a contract. Meanwhile, last season’s Pirma Lyga winners, FK Riteriai, have confirmed the departure of Georgian player Anri Rosiveri.

Kornelijus, a 25-year-old goalkeeper, has spent his entire career at FK Banga Gargždai. Last season, he made one appearance in the A Lyga and one in the Lithuanian Cup, which Banga went on to win. In total, Kornelijus made 27 appearances across all competitions for FK Banga Gargždai, primarily playing for the reserve team. He is expected to be the starting goalkeeper for the relegated FK TransINVEST side.

Anri Rosiveri, a 20-year-old Georgian winger, played for FK Riteriai for one and a half years. Last season, he made 30 appearances for Riteriai in the Pirma Lyga, scoring once and contributing to their victory in the league, which will see them return to the A Lyga for the upcoming season.
