FK TransINVEST announced the signing of Lithuanian international Karolis Uzėla as they prepare for a fight to return to A Lyga in 2026.
In announcing the signing of Karolis Uzėla (24), the freshly relegated young club stated their intentions of returning to A Lyga as soon as possible very clear. Coming over from FK Kauno Žalgiris as a free agent, Uzėla, whose career has been hampered by successive injuries over the past few years, is a Champion of both Latvia and Lithuania, as well as a Lithuanian Super Cup holder. A versatile number 6, Uzėla is a product of FK Žalgiris academy and is widely acknowledged to still carry a lot of potential despite only having played 2 games last season for the Kaunas side, of which none were in A Lyga.
Having represented Lithuania at every youth level, Uzėla has 4 caps for the senior national team and has already played abroad – representing Italian SPAL U-19 in 2018-2019 and Latvian FC RFS in 2022-2023. It is while in Latvia that we sustained a major injury that had kept him largely off the pitch ever since.
