Nõmme Kalju FC has announced the extension of the loan agreement for FK Liepāja’s attacking player, Ivans Patrikejevs.

Last year, the 19-year-old Latvian attacking midfielder joined FK Liepāja from SK Super Nova. At the beginning of the season, he participated in a few matches but later spent most of the time as an unused substitute. In total, he made five appearances for Liepāja in the Latvian league.

During the summer, it was confirmed that he would be loaned to Nõmme Kalju FC until the end of the season. He performed exceptionally well at Kalju, scoring two goals and providing four assists in 16 Premium Liiga matches.

It has now been announced that he will remain on loan at Nõmme Kalju for one more season. Manager Nikita Andreev expressed his satisfaction with continuing Patrikejevs’s contract, stating, “Patrikejevs made significant progress in his development with us last season, and I am glad that we can work with him for another year.” He added that Ivans is a versatile football player with great potential, making him a valuable addition to Kalju for the upcoming season.

Ivans Patrikejevs shared his excitement about continuing with Kalju, saying, “I am delighted to stay with Nõmme Kalju! I feel at home here. My goal is to help the team reach the top of the table and succeed in the UEFA Europa Conference League. I’m looking forward to starting training and playing in my first matches for Kalju in the new season.”

Kalju’s first pre-season game is scheduled for Saturday, where they will face Harju JK.
