Slovakian top-flight club FK Podbrezova Železiarne has announced, that they have signed a two and a half year deal with 22-year old Estonian national team midfielder Kevor Palumets.
Club CEO Miroslav Poliacek tells the club’s press release, that they were first interested in Palumets, when he moved from Paide Linnameeskond to Zulte Waregem (BEL) in 2022: “He is a player with the perfect age, who has spectacular traits for a number six. He has high prospects, but has already had a lot of experience.”
Palumets added: “The team is young and is hungry for success, with high quality coaches. The Slovakian league has very much quality, so it’s an ideal place for my career. I feel very good here after my first day with the team. My teammates and club’s staff accepted me nicely.”
Podbrezova Železiarne finished sixth in the Slovakian top flight last season and is currently in fifth place after 18 matches. A winter break is currently being held in the league, which will end on the 8th of February, when Podbrezova will face Michalovce Zemplin away, who are currently sixth.
Palumets most recently played for HJK on loan from Zulte Waregem, where he scored one goal in 18 games across all competitions. Palumets has also played in Bologna’s youth teams in Italy.
