FC Hegelmann, the vice-champions of A Lyga, have announced their third signing of the transfer window: Dutch defender Jonathan Mulder.

Jonathan, who also holds Israeli citizenship, has spent his entire professional career in the Netherlands. Born in the Netherlands, he moved to Israel at a young age, where he began his football journey at the Maccabi Tel Aviv youth academy. At the age of 13, he returned to the Netherlands to continue his development in the youth teams of Amsterdam and AZ Alkmaar.

Going through the AZ Alkmaar youth system, he transferred to ADO Den Haag, where he made his Eredivisie debut in December 2020 against Ajax. Unfortunately, that match remains his only appearance in the Eredivisie to date, as ADO Den Haag was relegated to the Dutch second division.

For the past three and a half seasons, Jonathan has played in the Dutch second division for various clubs, including ADO Den Haag, Telstar, and, most recently, TOP Oss. During the last season, he made 32 appearances for TOP Oss in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie, contributing with four assists. In the current season, he played eight matches before transferring to Hegelmann.

“After speaking with the team’s head coach, Andrius Skerla, and the sports director, I realized that this club would be a great place to continue my career. I am excited to join and motivated to demonstrate my best qualities. I hope to help the team achieve its goals,” said the newcomer.

Jonathan Mulder is the third new signing for Hegelmann this transfer window, following the acquisitions of Abdoul Harouna and Yanis Azouazi.
