Italian media states that 16-time Estonian national team midfielder Georgi Tunjov is set to leave Serie C team Pescara Calcio. There is rumored interest from Italy, Belgium and Poland.
The 23-year old from Narva moved to Italy in 2018, signing for SPAL’s youth academy. The midfielder quickly became a senior team player there, playing in 37 matches, 10 of them in Serie A, 24 in Serie B and 3 in the Italian Cup.
During the 2021/22 season, Tunjov was on loan at Carrarese in Serie C and a year later he moved to Pescara. In the last season, Tunjov scored 7 goals for Pescara in 28 games, this season that pace has slowed down, scoring and assisting a single goal in 13 games. Tunjov has mainly been brought on as a substitute.
Although Tunjov’s contract does not end untill the summer of 2026, the local media suggests, that the player will leave the club in this transfer window. TuttoPescaraCalcio and TuttoAscoliCalcio are associating the 23-year old with Campobasso and Ascoli, both playing in Serie C, holding 9th and 11th spots in the B-group. Pescara are currently third. The media also suggests, that the player’s new destination could be Belgium or Poland.
