Igor Morozov becomes Kalju’s new head of youth development

Nõmme Kalju FC announced on their social media pages, that Igor Morozov is named the club’s new head of youth development, signing a three-year contract with the club.

Igor Morozov is a well-known name in Estonian football. As a footballer, he successfully represented FCI Levadia, played for Polish team Polonia Warsaw and Hungarian Debrecen. He won several Estonian championship titles, a championship winner, several cup and super cup wins in Hungary. Morozov has been capped by Estonian national team on 30 occasions.

As a coach, Morozov already has remarkable experience. He has worked as Estonian youth national teams’ coach and has contributed into the development of FC Kuressaare’s players. He has a UEFA A-level coaching license.

Nõmme Kalju’s CEO Ehre Eamets told the press release, that hiring Morozov is an important step to bringing the club’s long time strategy to life:

“We have developed thorough methods to develop young footballers, of which, Igor Morozov will now be responsible of. His experience as a player and as a coach, his leadership traits and ability to speak several languages will build a strong base for long time success. I believe, that under his leadership, we can bring Kalju’s youth development to the next level. Welcome to Nõmme, Igor!”

Morozov also sees a lot of potential and responsibility in his new role:

“I am glad to join Nõmme Kalju’s family. I believe, that my experiences as a player and as a coach can build a strong base for the development of young players. I want to give my everything, to offer the best preparation and coaching to youngsters and to build a system, which will bring success in Estonia and internationally.”
