FK Paņevezys has officially announced the signing of Kosovo left-back Laurit Krasniqi. The 23-year-old has agreed to a two-year contract.

Laurit, who also holds a Belgian passport, is a graduate of the Royal Antwerp Academy. He has made five appearances for the first team, scoring one goal, but primarily played for their reserve team. Last season, he was loaned to Dutch second-division side Roda JC, where he made only three appearances.

This season, the Kosovo defender began with Royal Antwerp’s second team, featuring in 11 matches and scoring one goal. He was named to the first team’s squad twice in the Jupiler Pro League but did not see any playing time.

Laurit is eager to start pre-season preparations with FK Paņevezys, expressing his excitement about joining the 2023 A Lyga champions. “When I discovered that Panevėžys was interested in me, I didn’t think twice. This is a great opportunity for me to showcase my abilities. I’m in excellent shape. The season started five months ago, and I can’t wait to meet the team and the coaching staff.”

“My goals are to play as much as possible and to help the team become champions or achieve a position that allows us to compete in European competitions,” said Krasniqi. FK Paņevezys will start their preparation for the new season tomorrow.
