According to local newspapers, DPMM FC has expressed interest in signing Latvian striker Davis Ikaunieks to represent the Singapore Premier League (SPL) club for the 2024/2025 season.

The Latvian forward, who scored the second-most goals in the Lithuanian A Lyga this season with 18, has a contract with FA Šiauliai for one more season.

DPMM FC, a professional club based in Brunei, is actively pursuing Ikaunieks and has announced its eagerness and confidence in securing his services.

The 30-year-old Ikaunieks has had a diverse career, playing for clubs such as Liepājas Metalurgs, FK Liepāja, and FC RFS in Latvia. He also spent several seasons in the Czech Republic, where he notably played for Jihlava. His impressive performance there led to a transfer in 2018 for one million euros to Jablonec. Ikaunieks has also earned 47 caps for the Latvian national team, scoring six goals.
