Today, FC Hegelmann announced that they have not renewed their contracts with three young Lithuanian players: Kipras Olšauskas, Titas Buzas, and Emilis Urbonas. All three players primarily featured for the Hegelmann reserve team in the Lithuanian Pirma Lyga.
Kipras Olšauskas, a 19-year-old midfielder, joined the team before the start of the 2024 season after spending five years in academies in Germany and Spain. Although he was listed in the squad for 30 games this season, he did not play in the A Lyga. However, scoring one goal, he made 27 appearances for the Hegelmann reserve team.
Emilis Urbonas, a 20-year-old goalkeeper, also joined Hegelmann prior to the 2024 season from Ekranas. Like Kipras, he did not make his first-team debut this year and mostly played for the reserve team, where he made 26 appearances.
Lastly, Titas Buzas, a current Lithuanian U-21 international, joined Hegelmann at the beginning of the season. The 20-year-old attacking midfielder made eight appearances across all competitions this season, but like Kipras and Emilis, he primarily played for the reserve team, scoring one goal in 18 league matches.
