FK Banga Gargždai, which finished fifth in last season’s A Lyga, announced today on its social media platforms that it has signed former FK Panevėžys and FC Hegelmann defender Hugo Figueredo.
The 32-year-old Brazilian left FC Hegelmann after three seasons, where he became one of the most capped players in their A Lyga history, making 94 appearances.
By joining Banga, Hugo will enter his sixth season in Europe, all in Lithuania. He began his journey in this Baltic nation in 2020 when he joined FK Panevėžys from the Brazilian side Rio Branco—SP. After two seasons with Panevėžys, during which he won both the Lithuanian Cup and the Lithuanian Super Cup, he moved to Hegelmann.
Figueredo has made 135 appearances in A Lyga, scored eight goals, and provided 15 assists in his career.
