FK Panevėžys announces that they have signed their young goalkeeper, Daniel Bukel, to a long-term contract that will run until the end of the 2027 season.
The 21-year-old, a native of Vilnius, debuted in the TOPsport A Lyga last season, playing two matches against Vilnius Žalgiris and FK TransINVEST. He gained additional experience with the reserve team in the Pirma Lyga, where he played 24 games and recorded five clean sheets.
Reflecting on his experience, Bukel shared, “The year was difficult and filled with emotions, but I learned a lot. Personally, I gained valuable insights from the older goalkeepers and the coach during this time.”
He also expressed his commitment to the club: “The decision to sign the contract was not difficult because I want to be part of this team and represent this club in the future. I look forward to 2025 when I hope to get my chance to play in the A Lyga, and I aim to strive for victories with the team,” Bukel told the fk-panevezys.lt website.
