FK Panevėžys has announced their first offseason signing: the return of familiar attacking player Elivelto. The club and the player have reached an agreement for the 2025 season.
The 32-year-old Elivelto began his professional career in Europe with Panevėžys in 2014 when the club was known as Ekranas Panevėžys. This marks his third return to the city, where he is considered a local hero. Previously, he played for FK Panevėžys in 2020 and spent two and a half years with the team, winning the Lithuanian Cup and the Lithuanian Super Cup. During his time with the club, he appeared in 76 matches across all competitions, scoring 14 goals.
After leaving FK Panevėžys, the Brazilian attacking moved to Greece, where he joined Anagennisi Karditsas and subsequently played for another Greek club, PS Kalamatas. Before his first stint with FK Panevėžys, he had also played for Vilnius Žalgiris, Maccabi Petah Tikva in Israel, current Latvian champions FC RFS, Taraz in Kazakhstan, and Sogdiana in Uzbekistan.
“I am the same person and footballer. I have always been hungry to play football, and I love this game. Football has been my passion since I was 10 years old,” Elivelto stated. “I want to have a great year; as always, I will try to play my best football. I want to help the Panevėžys team achieve its goals,” he said in the club’s press release.
Under the guidance of new coach Roland Vrabec, Panevėžys will hold their first training session on January 6.
