FK Panevėžys today announced that they have signed a three-year contract with midfielder Salomon Kouadio.

The 21-year-old from Ivory Coast joined the team in October and has made a strong impression. This will be Kouadio’s first professional club in Europe; he previously played for his hometown club, Monajoce in Yopougon, and Stella Club in Abidjan, the capital of Ivory Coast.

In a press release, Kouadio expressed his enthusiasm for joining the club: “The professionalism of the club and the positive attitude of the administration and coaches motivated me to come to Panevėžys.”

He added, “I will spend more time with my family, work hard, and prepare for the pre-season. I aim to showcase my abilities for the club, help it progress, and achieve its objectives in the coming year.”

Kouadio becomes the second offseason signing for Panevėžys as two days ago; they announced that their former player Elivelto returns for his second spell in the Aukštaitija region side. Panevėžys will come together for the first training session on the 6th of January to prepare for the new A Lyga season.
