Ralfs Maslovs signs with Polish third-tier club Rekord Bielsko-Biała

21-year-old Latvian left-back Ralfs Maslovs has taken the next step in his career by signing with Polish third-tier side Rekord Bielsko-Biała. Maslovs’ move comes after FS Jelgava’s relegation from the Virslīga, a setback that has prompted several players from the squad to explore new opportunities.

Maslovs has built a solid foundation during his time at FS Jelgava, where he showcased his consistency and versatility. In the 2024 Virslīga season, Maslovs made 30 appearances, providing two assists. He was particularly effective in the 2023 season, where he scored three goals and provided three assists in 31 Virslīga games.

Maslovs has also gained valuable experience on the international stage, representing Latvia’s U21 team. Since his debut in UEFA European Under-21 Championship Qualifying matches, he has earned 10 caps, becoming a regular starter in the 2023-2024 campaign. Notably, Maslovs played full 90-minute matches against high-profile opponents like Italy and Norway.

The Polish third-tier league, where Ralfs Maslovs has recently joined Rekord Bielsko-Biała, is already home to three other Latvian players. Valerijs Šabala, Deniss Rakels, and Igors Tarasovs are all competing in the league, adding a strong Latvian presence.
