Premium Liiga runner-ups Nõmme Kalju announced that they have extended the contract of former Estonian National team midfielder Pavel Marin for two more years.
Marin, who scored six goals and provided ten assists in 31 games this season, will remain with Kalju until the end of 2026. He joined the Nõmme club from Viljandi Tulevik in the winter of 2021.
“I am very pleased about the contract extension. Nõmme Kalju has become my home; we have a great team and a unique atmosphere here. Returning here to Hiiu [Kalju home stadium] has given me a lot of joy, and playing at our home stadium with the support of the Pink Panthers has been a truly special experience. My goal is to continue meeting the targets set before the season, give my best effort, and look forward to the upcoming season,” Marin told the Kalju press service.
“Pavel is one of the leaders of our team and serves as a role model for our younger players. His statistics from the 2024 season speak for themselves, and I am confident that his performance will improve even further in the coming seasons,” said Kalju’s head coach, Nikita Andrejev.
Marin has represented the Estonian national team 14 times and scored two goals. His last game was 2020 in the Nations League game against Georgia—0:0.
