FCI Levadia, the reigning Estonian champion, announced on social media this evening that Maksimilian Skvortsov, the club’s young, talented winger, has signed a three-year professional contract.
The 16-year-old Skvortsov made his Premium Liiga debut in the opening match of this season and has since made 15 appearances in the Estonian highest league, scoring one goal and providing three assists. His debut goal in the top flight came during a 3-0 victory over Tammeka, contributing to Levadia’s 11th championship title.
“I am honored to continue my journey with FCI Levadia by signing my first professional contract! I am very grateful for the club’s trust and will do my best to help the team achieve new goals while continuing my development as a player,” said Skvortsov in a statement to the club’s press service after signing the contract.
According to club president Viktor Levada, Skvortsov represents the successful results of Levadia’s youth development program. “One of our goals at the club is to develop Levadia academy players, and Maksimilian has consistently demonstrated his talent and dedication to the team. We do not doubt his potential both on and off the pitch. Together, we will build the future and achieve our goals. Congratulations and good luck, Maksimilian!”
Levadia is very active in the transfer market, as they have announced several contract extensions following the end of the season. Captain Rasmus Peetson, goalkeepers Karl Andre Vallner and Oliver Ani, defenders Edgar Tur, Ken Kallaste, and Henri Järvelaid, midfielders Mihkel Ainsalu, Joao Pedro, Brent Lepistu, Alexandre Lopes Gomes, Richie Musaba, Frank Liivak, Mark Oliver Roosnupp, and striker Robert Kirss will all remain with the club for the new season. Additionally, former Tartu Tammeka defender Tanel Tammik has joined the team.
