After a narrow victory against Viimsi in the relegation play-off match for a spot in next season’s Premium Liiga, JK Tallinna Kalev’s manager, Teemu Tainio, confirmed to Soccernet.ee that he will continue in his role as the team’s manager.

Tainio joined the team as Daniel Meijel’s assistant in March and became the head coach in August when Meijel stepped down.

Since taking charge, Tainio has managed Kalev in 19 games, achieving a record of six wins, three draws, and ten losses. Half of Tainio’s wins came against lower-league teams in the Estonian Cup, with his most recent victory against Viimsi in the relegation play-off match ending after extra time.
