Kilmarnock secured their first Scottish Premiership victory of the season on their sixth attempt, beating Hibernian 1-0 away from home.
George Stanger scored the decisive goal in the 40th minute after reacting quickest to a scramble inside the penalty area. The result followed Kilmarnock’s demanding League Cup quarter-final against Aberdeen the previous weekend.
Estonia international Michael Schjönning-Larsen started at wing-back and completed the match, his fifth full appearance of the campaign. Kilmarnock remain bottom of the table with four points after one win, one draw and four defeats. They will host Hearts before the international break.
Schjönning-Larsen is expected to join Estonia for Nations League fixtures away to Iceland and Bulgaria, followed by home matches against Luxembourg and Iceland.
