FC Hegelmann top scorer Abdel Kader Njoya will continue his career in the Portuguese top flight after CD Nacional completed the signing of the Cameroonian striker. Njoya has signed a contract with the club until the end of the 2030/31 season.

The 22-year-old striker has spent the last three seasons in Lithuania. This season, Njoya made 19 league appearances for Hegelmann, scoring nine goals. In total, he made 103 appearances for the club, scoring 29 league goals.

Last september, Njoya was on the verge of joining Norwegian top-flight club Sandefjord in a deal worth around €250,000. However, the transfer fell through after he failed his medical, and the striker subsequently returned to Hegelmann.

Now a year later, the move has been completed, with Njoya now set to continue his career in the Portuguese top flight. CD Nacional have collected four points from their opening four league matches and currently sit 10th in the table. Their next game is this evening, when they travel to face Sporting.
