Latvia striker Raimonds Krollis faces a lengthy spell out after suffering a cruciate ligament tear in his knee, according to reports in the Czechia.

Krollis was forced off after 60 minutes of Slovan Liberec’s Czech top-flight match against Zlin last weekend. The club initially did not know the full extent of the injury, but subsequent examinations confirmed the serious damage. He also missed Slovan’s most recent cup fixture because of the problem.

This season the 24-year-old forward made five league appearances without scoring a goal. Last season Krollis scored eight goals in 28 league appearances for Slovan.

According to reports Slovan are already working to find a replacement for the Latvian forward.
