Tammeka have signed striker Moussa Felix Sambe on loan from FCI Levadia until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old, who stands 1.87m tall, has featured for Levadia in both the Premium liiga and Esiliiga this year, scoring 13 goals in the second tier. He was also named in the matchday squad for four of Levadia’s European fixtures.

Tammeka head coach Karel Voolaid said strengthening the forward line was a key objective of the summer window.

“Our statistical numbers have been in our favour in areas where we are well stocked, but in the final third we haven’t been as productive as we would like,” Voolaid said.

He added: “Sambe’s profile matches what we were looking for – a forward who can dominate one-v-one situations, contribute defensively and press from the front. He also gives us more directness and power.”

Sambe said he arrived in Tartu on Monday and has settled quickly.

“I feel good here. The team has welcomed me warmly and the spirit seems very good,” he said. “I’m here to help the team climb the table. I’m ready to score plenty of goals.”

Sambe will wear the number nine shirt for Tammeka.
