FK Kauno Žalgiris newcomer Anthony Kalik says the Lithuanian champions will “give everything” when they host Dinamo Zagreb in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League third qualifying round tie.

Kauno Žalgiris were beaten 5-0 in the first leg in Croatia and face a difficult task at Darius and Girėnas Stadium on Tuesday, with kick-off scheduled for 19:50 local time.

“We saw everything in the last match,” Kalik said. “It’s a very strong team that usually plays in the Champions League or Europa League group stages. Obviously, losing 0-5 away isn’t good, so tomorrow will be really hard, but we will give all our strength.”

Kalik, a recent arrival at the club, said his integration has gone smoothly, even though he feels he is still working back to full fitness.

“Everything is going great and it’s well organised, and my team-mates welcomed me very warmly,” he added. “Clearly I still need time to fully get back into shape, but so far everything is fine. I’ve played at Dinamo’s stadium many times, so I had no problems. I think it was useful for me to warm up and get a few minutes.”
