Paide have confirmed the signing of centre-back Kristofer Käit as they add depth to their back line for the run-in in the Premium Liiga.
The 21-year-old, who made his Estonia senior debut earlier this year, said he is targeting an immediate impact with a side competing at the top end of the table.
“I’m happy to join Paide, who are fighting for high places in the Estonian top division,” Käit told the club’s media team. “Paide have shown the club can be a good springboard to stronger leagues. I’m looking forward to the first matches and I’m ready to leave everything on the pitch.”
Käit already has experience in the Premium liiga after featuring nine times for Kalev in 2024, completing 90 minutes in most of those appearances.
His development has also been shaped in Portugal. In 2022, the Kalev academy product spent time on loan with FC Porto’s academy before joining the Rio Ave academy.
At the start of 2025 he moved to Portimonense, but did not make a first-team appearance. Instead, he played primarily in the U23 league for the club’s reserve side, making 35 appearances and scoring once.
