Lithuania international striker Edgaras Dubickas will continue his career on the other side of the world after signing for South Korean second-tier club Suwon Samsung Bluewings, bringing an end to almost a decade in Italian football.
The 28-year-old forward had been part of the Italian football system since 2016. Last season, he represented Serie C side Ternana Calcio, making 30 appearances and contributing nine goals and six assists.
Dubickas spent almost his entire professional career in Italy, primarily in Serie C. Across spells with several clubs in the division, he made a total of 190 appearances and scored 44 goals. He also featured 25 times in Serie B, finding the net on four occasions.
The Lithuanian also made one appearance in Serie A during his time with Lecce. His top-flight debut came on 25 November 2019, when he was introduced as a late substitute in a match against Cagliari.
Dubickas has so far earned seven caps for the Lithuania national team and will now begin a new chapter in South Korea.
Suwon Bluewings currently compete in the country’s second division and sit second in the table midway through the season. That position would secure promotion back to the top flight, where the club most recently competed during the 2023 campaign.
