Nõmme Kalju head coach Nikita Andrejev has been fined €100 and issued with a warning after an incident on the touchline during a Premium liiga match against Levadia.
Andrejev was dismissed from the technical area late in the first half after receiving a second yellow card. The Estonian FA’s disciplinary commission considered footage of Andrejev angrily throwing a water bottle, which struck the legs of a stretcher-bearer seated beside the pitch.
“The disciplinary commission issued Nikita Andrejev with a warning and a €100 fine for his actions. Andrejev acknowledged his mistake and apologised, so the disciplinary commission decided not to impose any additional punishment,” Estonian FA public relations specialist Martti Kallas told Soccernet.
The flashpoint came at 0-0 near half-time, shortly after Andrejev had already been booked for showing dissent. He was irritated by a foul by Kaua Davi on Nikita Ivanov, although Kaua Davi was also cautioned for the challenge.
Andrejev has already served an automatic one-match touchline suspension following his red card, with assistant coach Artjom Artjunin taking charge for Kalju’s fixture against Paide Linnameeskond. No further suspension has been added.
