FCI Levadia Tallinn has announced that Jevgeni Gurtšioglujants, who has been associated with the club for many years, will take on the role of new CEO. Following the departure of the previous CEO, Sergei Khokhlov-Simson, in 2022, one of the club’s presidents, Andrei Leškin, assumed his responsibilities. The decision has now been made to appoint Jevgeni as CEO, which will help alleviate some of the workload from President Leškin.
Gurtšioglujants, 38, played for Levadia’s reserve team in the Esiliiga league last season, accumulating over 200 minutes of play. He has also played 71 matches in the Premium Liiga, scoring three goals for Infonet. During his time with the Levadia staff, he has celebrated winning the Estonian championship twice and the Super Cup once.
Before this appointment, Gurtšioglujants served as the assistant coach for FCI Levadia’s U19 team and as the manager for the U17 team.
FCI Levadia President Viktor Levada expressed his enthusiasm on the club’s website, stating, “I am thrilled that not only young footballers but also management team members are growing within the club! I wish Yevgen great success and happiness in his new position!”
“First, I want to thank the club presidents for this honor and trust. I am also very grateful to all the club employees and coaches I have worked with. Levadia is a club with a rich history, and taking on this new role is a great challenge and responsibility. We have even greater goals ahead of us at both the national team and football school levels. I want Levadia to be a home for many young, talented football players who will one day represent our national team and help the club win titles.” Gurtšioglujants said to the club website.
