Premium Liiga side Narva Trans have appointed experienced Spanish coach David Campana as their new head coach as the club looks to climb away from the bottom of the Estonian top flight.
The 52-year-old arrives with a broad international background, having worked in Spain and in a number of overseas roles. The club said Campana has coached in Spain, including within Sevilla’s coaching set-up, and has also held posts in Lithuania, Armenia, Ghana, China and Gibraltar.
He will be joined in Narva by English assistant coach Noel Patrick Parsons, who has also been added to the club’s coaching staff.
Narva Trans had been searching for a new head coach since parting ways with Ukrainian manager Roman Kozhukhovskyi at the beginning of June. Kozhukhovskyi had taken charge ahead of the 2025 season, guiding the club to a fifth-place finish last year, but results deteriorated this season, with Trans winning just two of their opening 11 league matches.
The poor start has left the Narva club rooted to the bottom of the Premium Liiga table, seven points adrift of ninth-placed Kuressaare, leaving the new coaching staff with an immediate challenge to lift the team away from the relegation places.
Campana will make his debut on the Narva Trans bench next Saturday when his new side host league leaders FCI Levadia in one of the toughest possible opening assignments.
