Tartu JK Tammeka left it late, but Tristan Koskor’s stoppage-time winner secured a dramatic 1-0 victory over bottom-placed JK Narva Trans in their Premium Liiga Round 17 encounter.

The two teams arrived in vastly different form. Tammeka had quietly become one of the league’s most in-form sides, losing just once in their previous six matches, while Narva Trans had won only one of their last eleven league games and found themselves rooted to the bottom of the table.

Despite the difference in momentum, the opening stages were evenly contested. Tammeka controlled possession and territory, but Trans looked dangerous on the counterattack. The visitors nearly took the lead in the third minute when Josue Doke found space inside the penalty area, only to direct his effort straight at goalkeeper Kristen Lapa.

Tammeka gradually increased the pressure and enjoyed most of the possession throughout the first half. Thomas Lisboa and Muhhamed Hydara both tested the Trans defence from distance, while Kauan Pereira repeatedly caused problems down the flanks.

The best chance of the opening period, however, fell to Narva Trans. In the 34th minute Doke produced an excellent individual run from the right wing, cutting inside before curling a precise effort towards the far corner. The shot beat the goalkeeper but crashed against the post, allowing Tammeka to survive the scare.

The home side responded with a handful of set-piece opportunities before halftime. Lisboa forced Daniil Pareiko into a save from a long-range free kick, while several dangerous deliveries into the box failed to find a finishing touch.

The pattern continued after the restart. Tammeka spent long spells in the attacking half but struggled to convert possession into clear-cut opportunities. Pedro Manoel came closest when he headed narrowly wide from a Thomas Lisboa corner, while Kauan Pereira and Giacomo Uggeri both failed to trouble the goalkeeper from promising positions.

Trans remained dangerous whenever they broke forward. Denis Poliakov nearly caught Lapa off his line from long distance, while substitute Nikita Baljabkin squandered a good opportunity midway through the second half, firing wide after working space for himself inside the penalty area.

As the match entered its final stages, fatigue began to show on both sides. Chances became increasingly rare and the game appeared destined to finish level. That changed deep into stoppage time.

In the second minute of added time, Pedro Manoel attempted a pass that deflected off Trans player Stanislav Agaptšev and fell kindly to Tristan Koskor just outside the penalty area. The experienced striker reacted instantly, unleashing a powerful and accurate strike that flew beyond Pareiko and nestled inside the post to send the home supporters into celebration. Narva Trans had no time left to respond and Tammeka held on to secure a valuable three points.

The victory moves Tammeka onto 23 points and within just two points of fourth-placed Paide Linnameeskond, continuing their impressive rise after a difficult start to the season. Narva Trans remain bottom of the table with 10 points, seven behind nearest rivals Kuressaare.

Tammeka return to action in two weeks’ time when they host Harju JK Laagri, while Narva Trans face another difficult challenge on 4 July when league leaders FCI Levadia visit Narva.
