Lithuania’s U-21s won the 2026 Baltic Cup after a dramatic 2-2 draw with Latvia in Tauragė, with a stoppage-time equaliser securing top spot in the three-team standings.

All three sides finished level on two points after Estonia drew 1-1 with Latvia and Lithuania were held 2-2 by Estonia. Goal difference could not separate the teams, but Lithuania lifted the trophy on goals scored, finishing with four to Latvia and Estonia’s three.

The decider at Tauragė’s Vytautas Stadium was goalless at the break before Latvia went in front early in the second half, Lizunovs heading in from a set-piece. Lithuania responded through substitute Faustas Steponavičius, who converted a penalty to make it 1-1.

Latvia regained the lead late thanks to Patrikejevs pouncing on a rebound. Latvians were poised for the win, but Lithuania struck in added time when Edgaras Bierontas reacted quickest in a crowded penalty area to turn in the equaliser.
