Estonian Premium Liiga side JK Narva Trans have parted ways with head coach Roman Kozhukhovskyi after a year and a half in charge of the club. The news was confirmed by Narva Trans president Nikolai Burdakov, who told Russian-language outlet ERR that the 47-year-old Ukrainian is no longer the club’s head coach.
Kozhukhovskyi guided Trans to a fifth-place finish in the Premium Liiga last season, earning a new three-year contract with the club in December. However, the 2026 campaign has proven far more difficult. Narva Trans currently sit bottom of the league table and are four points adrift of second-bottom FC Kuressaare after 14 rounds.
His final match in charge was a 0-3 defeat away to Harju JK Laagri last Sunday, a result that extended Narva Trans’ poor run of form. The club have managed just one victory in their last ten competitive matches, failing to score in seven of those games.
Before joining Narva Trans, Kozhukhovskyi spent five years as head coach of FC Kuressaare. During his coaching career in Estonia he has also managed Nõmme Kalju and worked with the Estonian U21 national team.
Narva Trans become the second Premium Liiga club to change head coaches this season. Earlier this year, Paide Linnameeskond dismissed Vladimir Vassiljev, who has since taken over as head coach of Virslīga side FK Liepāja.
