In a ruthless display of dominance, FCI Levadia Tallinn stormed to the top of the Premium Liiga table with a crushing 7-0 victory over JK Narva Trans.
Taking full advantage of earlier slip-ups by Nõmme Kalju FC and Paide Linnameeskond, Levadia delivered a statement performance in front of their home crowd.
From the very first minutes, the hosts imposed themselves. Early warning signs came through Maksimilian Skvortsov and Bubacarr Tambedou, forcing saves from young goalkeeper Mark Zahharov, who would go on to have a busy – and often helpless – evening.
The breakthrough arrived in the 22nd minute when Wendell finished from close range after a well-worked move down the left. Just minutes later, the pressure paid off again – Mark Roosnupp reacted quickest inside the box to make it 2-0.
Levadia were relentless. Wendell added his second in the 35th minute, weaving through defenders before firing home, and shortly after, Tambedou made it 4-0, calmly rounding the keeper after breaking through the defensive line with ease.
At halftime, the match was effectively over – but Levadia were far from finished.
The second half followed the same pattern. Substitute Enock Otoo made an immediate impact, scoring to extend the lead to 5-0, before adding another with a composed finish from distance. Tambedou then capped off the evening with his second goal, slicing through the defense almost unchallenged to make it seven.
Narva Trans had occasional moments – including a few corners and long-range efforts – but rarely troubled goalkeeper Karl Andre Vallner. In truth, without Zahharov’s saves, the scoreline could have been even more emphatic.
The final whistle at 90 minutes came almost as relief for the visitors, who suffered their third heavy defeat in the last four matches and remain rooted to the bottom of the table.
For Levadia, this was more than just three points – it was a clear statement. They now lead the league and look increasingly like the team to beat.
Next up, Levadia travel to face Kuressaare on Saturday, while Narva Trans will try to recover from this heavy blow when they host Nõmme Kalju a day earlier.
