Levadia have issued a public statement criticising officiating in Sunday’s 2-2 Premium liiga draw with Paide, with the club questioning “how long teams in the division must continue to accept refereeing errors”.
The club’s complaint centres on the closing stages of the match, when Paide were awarded the penalty from which they scored a late equaliser. Levadia also said two earlier incidents in the game were interpreted incorrectly by the officials.
Head coach Vjatšeslav Zahovaiko had already voiced his frustration after the final whistle. Speaking to Soccernet TV, he said it was difficult for him as a coach to understand the ending and to explain the decisions to his players.
Levadia’s statement followed continued debate over the final moments of the match, which remained a talking point in the days after the draw with Paide.
