Shein named among Eliteserien round two’s standout performers after Fredrikstad win

Rocco Robert Shein was included in the team of the week for the second round of the Norwegian top flight after scoring in Fredrikstad’s 3-1 home win against KFUM Oslo on Sunday.

The Estonia midfielder, 22, struck his first goal of the season in the 19th minute. After controlling a partially cleared cross with his chest, Shein finished with his second touch into the bottom-right corner to put Fredrikstad 2-0 ahead.

According to FotMob, Shein received a match rating of 8.5, the highest of any player on the pitch. Among those selected in the round’s best XI, only Viking right-back Henrik Heggheim, Viking winger Niklas Fuglestad and Sarpsborg goalkeeper Mamour Ndiaye were rated higher.

Shein played the full match and had one shot, worth 0.14 xG. He recorded 71 touches, including 10 in the final third and three in the opposition penalty area, while completing 27 passes.
