Estonia international Michael Schjønning Larsen scored his first goal in Scottish football, netting the winner as Kilmarnock defeated league leaders Hearts 1-0.
The 25-year-old full-back made his sixth consecutive start for the club and delivered the decisive moment in the 17th minute. Larsen joined the attack and was left unmarked at the far post, where he received the ball and calmly tapped it into an empty net to give Kilmarnock the lead against the league leaders.
Kilmarnock, who currently sit near the bottom of the table, managed to hold onto their advantage for the remainder of the match to secure three valuable points. Larsen played 70 minutes before being substituted.
It took the Estonian defender 10 appearances in the Scottish Premiership to score his first goal in the league.
Thanks to the victory, Kilmarnock have now drawn level on points with 10th-placed St. Mirren, with both teams sitting on 24 points.
Meanwhile, Alex Tamm’s Livingston remain at the bottom of the table, now nine points behind Kilmarnock. Livingston played out a 0-0 draw with Hibernian today without the injured Estonian forward.
The two Estonian internationals could face each other in the next round, as Kilmarnock host Livingston next Saturday.
