About the club

FK TransINVEST are a Lithuanian football club officially based in Galinė village in the Vilnius District Municipality, but commonly grouped under Vilnius clubs. Established in the early 2020s, the club has developed rapidly through the Lithuanian league system, combining strong corporate backing with ambitious infrastructure plans and a fast-growing sporting profile.

In a situation similar to that of Hegelmann FC, TransINVEST (originally founded as Transekspedicijos) was established as a football club of the large, local logistics and freight forwarding company Transekspedicija.  The club made its competitive debut in the 2022 Antra lyga (third tier) season, making an immediate impact with strong results, including a record 16–0 league victory and a title-winning campaign in which they scored 109 goals.

TransINVEST got promoted to the Pirma lyga for 2023 season, where they continued their upward trajectory, securing the league title and, in parallel, making history by winning the Lithuanian Cup in a 2-1 final against top-tier side FA Šiauliai. In doing so, they became the first non-top tier club in the history of contemporary Lithuanian football to win the Cup. They also became a rare club to qualify for European competitions as a second-tier club.

In 2024, TransINVEST entered the A Lyga and began their top-flight spell with a 3–2 win over FC Hegelmann, in what became termed as a ‘logistics derby’ (as both clubs are owned and are named after their respective logistics companies).

Their Cup win the previous season brought European debut, although eligibility initially drew scrutiny due to UEFA rules relating to a club’s age; but an exemption allowed TransINVEST to attain a UEFA licence nonetheless.

The maiden A Lyga season was challenging for the young club and they finished last, getting demoted back to Pirma Lyga. Once there, they secured the title early, qualifying for the 2026 A Lyga season.

In October 2025, the club took a further step in their development by opening a new stadium in the Vilnius District – the modern, 1500 capacity Transinvest stadium located, suitably enough, right in the midst of an industrial park where their parent company has their transport hub and warehouses.
