FK TransINVEST, who are set to return to Lithuania’s top flight this season, have strengthened their squad with two players who featured in the Latvian Virslīga last year.

One of the arrivals is experienced centre-back Edvinas Girdvainis. The Lithuanian defender returns home after two years abroad, having spent last season with FK Liepāja in Latvia. He made 11 Virslīga appearances as Liepāja finished third in the league.

The 33-year-old, born in Klaipėda, last played in Lithuania’s Toplyga in 2023, when he scored an impressive 10 goals in 33 matches for FK Kauno Žalgiris. Over the course of his career, Girdvainis has also played abroad in Germany’s third tier, Spain’s lower divisions, as well as in the top leagues of Poland and Azerbaijan.

Internationally, he has earned 62 caps for the Lithuanian national team. As recently as last September, he scored his second international goal in a 2-3 defeat against the Netherlands in Kaunas.

The second signing is Haitian forward Jeudi Stevenson. The 21-year-old had been under contract with FK Auda since the 2023 season and made his Virslīga debut in 2024 while on loan at FK Tukums 2000.

Last season, Stevenson made 27 league appearances for Auda, scoring five goals and providing two assists. Across two Virslīga seasons, he has recorded 10 goals in 49 matches.
