Panevėžys began preparations for the 2026 season today, with the first training session at the new artificial turf hall at Beržai School Stadium.
Head coach Roland Vrabec, entering his second season with the club, led a group of 23 players. The squad included contracted first-team players, members of the B team, and several players on trial. Lithuania international striker Armandas Kučys, currently under contract with Celje, will also train with the team for a period to maintain his fitness.
The players present at the opening session were Vytautas Černiauskas, Danielis Bukelis, Arijus Bražinskas, Dovydas Balsys, Justinas Januševskis, Eimantas Dzinga, Strahinja Kerkezas, Rokas Rasimavičius, Lovro Grajfoneris, Matas Ramanauskas, Ernestas Burdzilauskas, Ignas Lukoševičius, Kwadwo Asamoah, Elivelto, Nojus Lukšys, Ernestas Veliulis, Oleksandras Kurcevas, Armandas Jusys, and Marko Bačaninas.
Several players who featured during the previous season are expected to join the training process at a later stage.
Panevėžys will play their first pre-season friendly of the winter break on Saturday, January 10, against fellow A Lyga side Džiugas. Kick-off at Beržai School Stadium in Panevėžys is scheduled for 14:00.
