FK Sūduva Marijampolė have confirmed that goalkeeper Ignas Plūkas will continue guarding the club’s net in the 2026 season. The club has signed a new contract with the player, who celebrated his 32nd birthday just a few days ago.

“It feels great to be here and to sign a new contract with Sūduva,” Plūkas said. “Everything is good for me in Marijampolė: the conditions, the coaches. Everything here feels familiar, everything is known. It’s simply nice to be here.”

Reflecting on last season, the goalkeeper noted that it had its ups and downs. “There were better stretches and there were worse ones, but finishing in fourth place is definitely not a bad result. Now we want to aim higher,” he added.

Sūduva will begin preparations for the new season in the first half of January.
