JK Narva Trans have announced that Nigerian striker Ahmad Gero will remain with the club next season after signing a contract extension through the end of the 2026 campaign.

The 26-year-old forward joined Narva Trans this summer from Estonian giants FCI Levadia Tallinn, where he had already enjoyed a trophy-laden spell in his time with the Tallinn club, winning the Premium Liiga title, the Estonian Cup and the Estonian Super Cup.

Gero began the season with Levadia, making 17 appearances and scoring five goals, but as his role within Curro Torres’ squad became more limited, a summer move to Narva provided a fresh opportunity for regular football. The striker quickly made an impact in his new surroundings, registering six goals in 15 league matches during the second half of the season as Narva finished the season in fifth place in the Estonian top flight.

Head coach Roman Kozhukhovsky praised the striker’s professionalism and commitment following the announcement:

“We’re happy that we were able to extend the contract. Ahmad is a professional who knows the demands of the team and understands our principles of the game. His attitude and willingness to work for the outcome is exactly what we need. I am sure that this decision will add stability and move us forward in the implementation of our tasks.”

Before arriving in Estonia, Gero built his career across Scandinavia, spending several seasons with clubs in the lower divisions in Sweden and Denmark.
