Newly crowned Lithuanian football champions FK Kauno Žalgiris have begun assembling their squad for the upcoming season by securing one of the key figures behind their golden campaign: Fabien Ourega.
With two rounds still remaining in the season, the club reached an agreement with the French midfielder that will keep him in Kaunas through the 2026 campaign.
Ourega joined Žalgiris Kaunas ahead of the 2025 season and has been a crucial part of the team’s success. Across all competitions, he made 40 appearances, contributing 6 goals and 7 assists.
“Fabien is a true professional whose experience and quality have been invaluable to us this year. We see that he can continue to play an important role next season, so keeping him was one of our top priorities,”
said Darius Šinkūnas, the club’s sporting director.
The Lithuanian champions are expected to announce more updates on their 2026 squad in the near future.
