The fifth round of the Latvian Futsal Virslīga concluded this weekend with three home victories, while Riga Futsal Club and FC Nikers remained the only unbeaten sides this season.

At Rimi Olympic Center, Riga Futsal Club hosted TFK Salaspils, who had collected seven points from their first four matches. The home side, with three wins from three, looked to continue their perfect start – and did so in emphatic fashion.

Riga Futsal Club took full control in the first half, scoring three goals to lay the foundation for a dominant win. Brazilian import Jose Eduardo netted his sixth goal of the season, with Artjoms Kozlovskis and Artemijs Pilipčuks also on target.

The second half saw the hosts completely overpower their opponents, scoring seven unanswered goals to seal a 10-0 rout. Both Jose Eduardo, Pilipčuks, and Kozlovskis bagged doubles, joined by fellow Brazilian Fradick Goes, while Bruno Coelho – who recently featured for Portugal in a friendly against Latvia – and Argentine Angel Claudino also found the net.
