The Lithuanian men’s futsal team will continue preparations for the upcoming UEFA European Futsal Championship with two friendly matches against Ukraine next week. The games will be played in Jonava Arena on September 23 and 24, with kick-off at 19:00 on both days. Entry for spectators will be free of charge.

Both teams are already guaranteed places in the final tournament, which begins in January. Lithuania qualified automatically as one of the host nations, while Ukraine secured their spot through the qualifying competition.

Elsewhere, play-off ties are taking place this week and next to determine the remaining participants in the finals. The draw for the group stage will be held in Kaunas on October 24.

Ukraine are familiar visitors to Jonava, having competed in a four-nation friendly tournament there last year alongside Lithuania, Brazil and France. On that occasion, Ukraine defeated the home side 5–2.
