The 103rd Tallinn derby was played in the penultimate round of the 2024 Premium liiga season, with FCI Levadia comfortably defeating their arch-rivals FC Flora 4:2.
A rainy afternoon may have been interpreted as a bad omen by Flora, but most of the first half of the game remained in a stalemate with Musaba finally taking the lead for Levadia in the 6th minute of added time. Flora hit back right away, with Kuraksin scoring a stunning equaliser following a play by Zenjov. The teams broke for half time in a 1-1 draw.
Once the match had resumed, it quickly became obvious that Levadia were done playing around and took the lead already in the 49th minute. Lepistu scored from Järvelaid’s assist. Järvelaid increased the lead further in the 65th minute, making it 3-1 for Levadia. Kolobov got one back for Flora in the 84th minute, only for Levadia to put the final nail into the game a mere 5 minutes later.
With this win, Levadia equalise their Derby record against Flora in the Premium liiga this year, having previously lost 1-0 and 2-1, and won 1-0.
Following this defeat, Flora find themselves in the fourth place in need of a win over Kalev and Paide. Things are no longer in their hands, however, as, in order to secure bronze, they also need Nõmme Kalju to lose to Pärnu Vaprus.
