Nine clubs will take part in the 2025/26 season of the Latvian Futsal Virslīga.

Last season’s Latvian Cup winners and three-time vice-champions RFS Futsal did not apply for the licensing process, while FK Ludza also declined the opportunity. Their place will be taken by TFK BEITAR Riga, runners-up in the First League.

Several RFS Futsal players are expected to continue their careers abroad. With Riga hosting the UEFA Futsal EURO 2026 final tournament early next year, the league calendar will feature several breaks to accommodate national team training camps and friendly matches as Latvia prepares for its home championship.

The season will kick off on 13 September, immediately followed by a national team training camp and friendlies.

As usual, teams will play a double round-robin regular season before entering the playoffs. The quarter-finals, semi-finals, and bronze medal series will be contested in a best-of-three format (first to two wins), while the final will be played in a best-of-five format (first to three wins).
