After just 20 appearances and 7 goals, Brazilian forward Henrique Devens is set to leave FK Žalgiris Vilnius by mutual agreement, sources confirm. The 28-year-old striker will now be seeking new opportunities following a brief spell in Lithuania’s capital.

Devens made his final appearance for Žalgiris on July 24, coming on in the closing moments of a UEFA Europa Conference League clash against Linfield FC. The match, part of the second qualifying round, marked the end of his tenure under head coach Vladimir Cheburin.

Arriving in early March after a short stint in Qatar’s second division that lasted less than two months, Devens was seen as a potential asset for the Lithuanian champions. However, like much of the squad this season, his performances failed to live up to expectations. Fan opinion remained divided throughout his time at the club, and his departure seemed increasingly inevitable as the summer approached.

This is not Devens’ first experience in Lithuanian football. Prior to his time at Žalgiris, he featured for Vilnius District Transinvest, DFK Dainava Alytus, and Babrungas Plungė, making him a familiar name among local supporters.

It remains unclear whether Devens will continue his career in Lithuania or seek a new challenge abroad.
